Velvet bush on oat-coloured tea towel

This tea towel is printed in two colours on oatmeal-coloured linen fabric. The Velvet bush (Lasiopetalum membranaceum) has velvet-like leaves that are commonly heart-shaped, with tiny mauve flowers almost too small to see. Each plant may have several striking pink leaves randomly scattered amongst its leaves. It is an understorey plant found in karri, jarrah and marri forests of the south west of Western Australia.
