This majestic boab was transported 3,200 kilometres from the East Kimberley to Perth. The tree was in the path of a major road development and a concerted effort was made by the local Gija people and Kings Park specialists to save and relocate it. Named by the Gija as Jumulu, the tree is over 750 years old and may live for up to 1,500 years.
