The Fremantle Arts Centre provides exhibitions, residencies, art courses and music concerts. The building was built using convict labour between 1861 and 1868 and operated as the Fremantle Lunatic Asylum till the early 1900s. It has become an integral part of the cultural life of Fremantle since being saved from demolition in the 1970s.

Our tea towels are hand screen-printed with water-based inks onto 100% linen. The fabric size is 50 x 70cm and the printed area is approximately 41 x 55cm.

Hand-printed textiles are unique creations and as a result may have some minor imperfections. We recommend a hand wash the first time, then gentle machine wash after that. Some shrinkage will occur given the fabric has not been pre-shrunk, and try to avoid tumble-drying. Linen ages well but following the first couple of washes the fabric may be crinkly, so just pull it into shape a bit before hanging up to dry. Ironing while still slightly damp or using a steam iron on the back gives an excellent result.

Our tea towels can be framed in a standard IKEA frame. Please go to our ‘Product Information’ page for details.
